Company ProfileSFFA and Ms. Fung have worked extensively on commercial and hospitality projects since early 1990s. Ms. Fung and her team have also curated and organized art exhibitions and cultural programs in a wide range of public environments. In 2005, she was commissioned by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council to curate the "Hong Kong Pavillon" for the 51st Venice Biennale in Italy. Other exhibitions curated by Ms. Fung include "two, three things about hong kong I & II" at the Hong Kong City University Gallery in 2003 and 2006; and "ART Windows", a large-scale public art project that exhibited contemporary artworks in public areas throughout Hong Kong for three months in 2001. Ms. Fung also curated "ARTscope Hong Kong 2000" an extensive exhibition of avant-garde Hong Kong artists in 15 Tokyo galleries and at the City University in Hong Kong. Past curatorial projects includes Fringe Festival art exhibitions at Hong Kong City Hall; the City University of Hong Kong's 10th Anniversary art exhibition in 1994. SFFA public art projects (SFFA Projects) include a retrospective film festival of Hiroshi Teshigahara (artist, film maker and sogetsu master) co-presented with the Hong Kong Arts Centre in 1993. SFFA Projects organised a major art installation in 1992 at the Hong Kong University Museum to celebrate its 40th anniversary. While living in New York City in the 1980s, Ms. Fung curated exhibitions and placed artworks in numerous collections including the Lila Acheson Collection and Alcan Aluminum International in Montreal. Ms. Fung was a member of the M+’s Acquisition Committee of the West Kowloon Cultural District from 2015 to 2021. She was an advisor to the Hong Kong City University Gallery Committee from 1999 to 2015 and also a co-opted member of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council's Visual Arts Committee in 1995-1997 and 2001. In 2007, Ms. Fung was appointed as a member of the Museum Advisory Group of the Consultative Committee on the West Kowloon Cultural District. |
